A listener wrote in and asked me to talk about the gear that I use on my boat when I have it set up for single-handed sailing. I spend about a half an hour talking about the gear that I use for basic anchoring in the next few episodes I hope to remember to talk about the techniques that I use for single-handed sailing while Med mooring. After I discuss my gear and techniques for single-handed anchoring we finish up with conversations that Jack Andrys, Neil Fletcher and I had about the trip while we were sitting at a hotel having a beer at the end of the summer in Bodrum Turkey. Jack and Neil were a delight to have on board I consider them lifelong friends after this trip. We cover some of the work necessary for storing Sea Dream on the hard until next May, and share some of our techniques for rolling up the main and draining the water tanks. Neil also opines (as he does often) about a classic British cruiser he spotted at the boatyard.
